David Oester has served Christ Lutheran congregation since 2008.   A native of Garrett County, Maryland, he was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Accident, Maryland.  In July 1983 he became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Glen Savage, Pennsylvania.

     After high school, David enrolled in a maintenance technology program at Garrett College.  He worked at a family-owned feed and supply store for over 25 years.

     In June 2003 David entered Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  He served his vicarage at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Steubenville, Ohio.  After graduation from seminary, he was ordained at Zion Lutheran Church, Accident, Maryland in July of 2008.

     David’s first call was to Christ Lutheran Church, Oil City, Pennsylvania, where he was installed in July 2008.
